Get answers to common questions about Men's Full Back Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles, hormones, and aftercare. Regular waxing can extend intervals as hairs grow back finer and sparser over time.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments, but pain is brief and manageable. We use pre-wax calming oil, quick technique, and post-wax cooling to reduce pain. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever an hour before can help.
Ensure hair is about ¼ inch long for optimal removal. Exfoliate gently 24-48 hours before, avoid sunburn, heavy lotions, or retinoids on the area, and arrive with clean, dry skin for best results.
Plan appointments every three to six weeks based on your regrowth and comfort preferences. New clients may need shorter intervals; after several sessions, longer gaps are common as hair thins and growth slows.
Avoid shaving prior to waxing—hair must be long enough for the wax to grip. You may trim excessively long hair to about ¼ inch, but do not shave within two weeks of your appointment.
Waxing may be unsuitable if you have sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, active cystic acne, blood-thinning medications, or certain skin conditions. Inform your technician about medications and skin issues during booking.
