Aim for about 1/4 inch (approximately 6–7 mm) of hair so the wax can grip properly. If hair is shorter, waxing may be less effective; if longer, we can trim it for comfortable, efficient removal during your appointment.

Sensitivity varies, but most clients report brief discomfort that eases quickly. Our estheticians use gentle waxing techniques, pre-care recommendations, and aftercare to reduce pain. Regular waxing also lessens sensitivity over time as hair growth softens and thins.

Exfoliate gently 48 hours before to remove dead skin, avoid tanning or retinoids for a week, and arrive clean without lotions. If you're on medications or pregnant, mention it when booking so we can adjust products and techniques.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual factors. Regular appointments can extend the time between services as hair becomes finer and sparser with consistent waxing.

Minor redness, temporary sensitivity, or small bumps may occur but typically resolve within 24–48 hours. We follow strict hygiene and patch-test new clients when needed. Contact us if you experience severe pain, prolonged swelling, or signs of infection.

Shaving defeats the purpose because it removes hair at the surface and prevents proper waxing. If you must groom between sessions, trim lightly with scissors or an electric trimmer to maintain length, but avoid shaving to ensure effective future waxing.
